Security:

The Virginia Beach Postal Federal Credit Union like all Federal Credit Unions, is chartered and supervised by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the U.S. Government. For your protection, the NCUA has established many safeguards. These include:

 
  • Each member's account is insured up to $100,000 by NCUA.
  • Federal Examiners review the Credit Union annually.
  • Surprise Audits are required by a Board appointed Supervisory Committee.
  • A Blanket Security Bond against defalcations, thefts, burglaries, forgeries, etc. is required.
  • Funds not in use as loans to members may only be invested in Government backed or insured securities or deposits.
